The name Via Migration embodies a profound vision, symbolising the journey every migrant undertakes. Derived from the Latin word via, meaning “way” or “path,” it represents a bridge for those seeking new beginnings in Australia. Migration can be complex, but my mission is to simplify the process by providing clear pathways tailored to your unique circumstances. Via Migration reflects my unwavering commitment to guiding you through every step with ease and confidence, no matter how challenging the journey may seem.

I’m Kris Haljak, a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 2418673) based in Adelaide, South Australia. As an Estonian-Australian dual citizen and a long-time migrant, I deeply understand the challenges of settling in a new country. Over the past 15 years, I have lived in France, Switzerland, Germany, and Australia. These experiences have given me firsthand insight into the hurdles migrants face including endless paperwork, unfamiliar languages, and uncertainty about the future.

This personal journey inspired me to become a Registered Migration Agent. I am passionate about empowering others to achieve their dreams of building a life in Australia. I aim to provide you with the guidance, support, and expertise you need to navigate the Australian migration system confidently.

I hold a Graduate Diploma in Migration Law and Practice from the University of Technology Sydney, where I earned the Dean’s Merit List award in 2023 and the Graduate Diploma Migration Law and Practice Excellence Award in 2024. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in economics from Tallinn University of Technology and have studied Standardization, Social Regulation, and Sustainable Development at the University of Geneva in Switzerland.

Before stepping away from work life to raise my young family for the past seven years, I worked as an Ethical Trade Manager, addressing fashion supply chain compliance issues in Southeast Asian factories. This role gave me invaluable insight into the lives and struggles of textile workers and emphasised the importance of advocating for fairness and dignity in complex systems.

These experiences have shaped my dedication to helping others overcome challenges, whether in global supply chains or the migration process. Now, as a Registered Migration Agent, I bring that same commitment to supporting individuals and families on their journey to Australia.
